With news of the white version of the iphone 4 likely to appear on the market as early as 03 2011, it is now almost a certainty that the iphone 5 will be available both in black and in white at launch.
Engadget’s Richard Lai, a guy who travels regularly to mainland China, says that the issue lies with the paint job of the handset rather than with the camera lens itself.
He took to clarify why the lens weren’t actually the reason why the camera weren’t the one to blame for the delay of the white iphone, one of the very rare instances where Apple mackintosh got it wrong.
Apple mackintosh will probably never confirm the nature of the technical snafu so it encountered while working on the white iphone 4; moreover, the issue didn’t cause a big enough ruckus to prompt Apple mackintosh to have a special event like it did for the antenna gate.
Lai, who produced the first world’s hands-on review for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, reckons that the white iphone 4 has been mass produced by Hon Hai electronics since mid-January, which means that there’s roughly a 60-days delay between the production and delivery of the devices.
